It consists of excavations that were found in the areas where Austro –Hungarian and Italian units were placed on the Soča front.
The museum is located in the military camp of the Slovene army »Janko Premrl – Vojko«. It was the first museum of the kind within the Slovene army.
The author of the idea and owner of the museum is petty officer Mitja Močnik, who works in the military camp.
The museum presents and approaches to a visitor a part of a battlefield and hinterland within the first firing-line on the Austro –Hungarian side in the Karst region.
In front of the entrance to the museum there is an imitation of a firing-line. Crossing it you enter the museum that is divided into 5 exhibition rooms:
1. Austro – Hungarian dressing station (Feldlzret) for severely wounded people
2. Austro – Hungarian universal workshop for blacksmiths, joiners, shoe-makers and tailors
3. Working and living quarters of commander of Austro – Hungarian battalion (K.u.K Baon-Kommando)
4. Underground division shelter – cavern used s a small, handy warehouse with a telephone exchange
5. Connecting and shooting trenches (Luf-schutz Graben) with a guard post and a guard.
